for video game music ok, but pls. do something with the hihat, do some mixing, or even route the kick, hihat etc. drums in the mixer, and create a sub mix. After it, you can do some eq, compression, and even you can do some sidechain, to make it like: when the kick hits, the hihat become muted.... You ide is not bad, but the music without mixing, mastering is like a supermodel picture without makeup and photoshop.

Thank you for the comment! Unfortunately this was created before I had any schooling in audio engineering (I was a complete n00b at the time) not to mention I was mixing on horrible consumer PC speakers. I would love to go back and clean it up, but the master is loooong gone
